These aren't called the Dog Days of Summer for any reason. Pooches, cars and parking are receipes for disaster particularly during the hot summer months. Never leave your dog alone in your car, even if it's "just for a few minutes" even if you've rolled down the windows. If you really need to run an errrand when you 've got your dog in car -- bring him/her in with you and deal with the rath of the store owner. Doing so would be muchless traumatic than coming back an finding your dog dehydrated or worse!
